About the Client:
Our client specializes in optimizing supply chain processes. In this role, you'll focus on maintaining and supporting legacy .NET systems to ensure their continued operation. You'll be part of a Finnish unicorn company known for its strong, collaborative team culture. The development team uses Scrum/Kanban methodologies, working in 2-week sprints to enhance and sustain existing systems.
What We’re Looking For:
A Senior Backend Developer with experience in desktop applications and large codebases.

- Fluent in English: Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication.
- Travel: Willingness to travel to Finland 1-2 times a year to meet with the client.

- Proactive: Actively ask questions, share ideas, and collaborate with team members to navigate the complexities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with stakeholders to understand and address their needs, ensuring successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work within a diverse team to maintain and develop desktop applications.
- Handle complex codebases, requiring a deep understanding of various layers and coding practices.
- Collaborate with product and service managers to coordinate and prioritize work.
- Solve customer issues that come through Jira tickets, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
- Participate in the agile transition process, with a focus on increasing ownership over ticket management.
- Bring your desktop development experience to our team, contributing to maintaining and enhancing complex applications.
Tech Stack required:
- .NET Framework & .NET 8
- C#
- At least 2 years working with WCF / WPF
- SQL Server 2022 for DB
- Gitlab for version control and CI/CD
- Desktop application development experience
- Large codebase, N-tier app
